There are two ways to get an agent. Use CodeAgent Cloud — our own hosted agent that is ready instantly with no setup or linking — or pair the agent you already run in your terminal or IDE, which streams its prompts and responses to your phone. Claude Code is the most-tested paired integration; the rest connect through the codeam CLI or the IDE plugins, and most other terminal or IDE-based coding agents work too.

Claude Code, most optimized

The CLI runs Claude Code directly, so interactive flows (confirmations, plan mode, file selection) work end-to-end from the phone.

Terminal agents

Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, Aider, CodeRabbit, and Kimi Code all connect through the codeam CLI, same as Claude Code.

IDE-native agents

GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Windsurf/Cascade connect through the VS Code-family extension; JetBrains AI Assistant, Junie, and Cascade (Windsurf's JetBrains plugin) connect through the JetBrains plugin.
